COLUMBUS, OHIO – Pizzuti Solutions is pleased to announce Tom Harmer has rejoined Pizzuti Solutions as Senior Vice President.

Pizzuti Solutions LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Pizzuti Companies and combines public sector expertise with private sector experience to guide the success of public projects. Serving predominantly as project manager or Owner’s Representative, Pizzuti Solutions facilitates strategic and tactical efforts of public projects large and small to help leaders move their communities forward. 

Tom adds more than 37 years of public sector experience to the Solutions team, serving in both management and public safety leadership positions. He most recently served as Town Manager for Longboat Key, Florida with prior service as the County Administrator for Sarasota County, Florida. Tom previously served as Deputy Incident Commander for the State of Florida’s response to Hurricane George, and later for the Florida governor’s Wildfire Response and Mitigation Commission. The Governor and Cabinet recognized him as the Florida Fire Chiefs’ Association 1999 Fire Chief of the Year. Tom is also a designated International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Credentialed Manager.

As a senior local government executive, Tom has been involved in numerous capital projects, including the planning, funding, design, and construction of multiple award-winning fire stations, libraries, sports, recreation, and other community facilities, as well as a state-of-the-art emergency operations center. He has also managed the renovations of existing municipal buildings to accommodate public safety facilities for law enforcement and fire departments.

In his new role, Tom will partner with local government clients to assist with their capital project and real estate master planning needs, including managing the design and construction of their facility projects from concept to completion. Pizzuti Solutions was recently named Owner’s Representative for the development of Columbus’ Real Time Crime Center and Public Safety Campus, for which Tom will serve as Project Executive. He will be based out of Central Florida, where the firm recently completed the Winter Park Library and Events Center, working on Pizzuti Solutions’ projects nationwide.
